| The Decree 32 of 1988 promulgated by the Federal Ministry Government in Section 3(2) mentioned that the Energy Centres at Ahmadu Bello University, University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile-Ife, University of Sokoto, Sokoto and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka shall be members of Technical Advisory Committee (all professionals) under the chairmanship of the Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria. |
In the Guidelines issued by the Director-General, Energy Commission of Nigeria, dated 1st July 1992 and captioned “COMMON INSTITUTIONAL ARRANGEMENTS”, all Energy research Centres under its control (Energy Commission) should have a certain degree of similarity in the operational arrangements existing between each Centre and its ‘mother’ institution. Each Centre is requested to ensure that a proper instrument is approved by its University, which defines how its affairs are to be managed.
